We are redefining how the world sees and values wildlife in the Arabian Peninsula
Our Vision is a wild Arabia, rich in nature, culture and prosperity, alive with biodiversity from ridge to reef.
Our Mission
Science for saving species
Our mission is to collect high-quality, scientifically robust data to monitor the health of the natural world across the Arabian Peninsula. Through systematic and reliable evidence gathering, we aim to build a deep, regionally grounded understanding of species, habitats, and ecological change.
We believe that informed decisions are the foundation of effective conservation. By translating ecological data into meaningful insights, we support the development of evidence-based policies and conservation practice. Our work helps safeguard biodiversity and ecosystem services that are essential not only for the resilience of nature but for human survival and wellbeing.
In a region facing rapid environmental change, our mission is to ensure that science and evidence guide efforts to protect the unique and fragile natural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula—now and for future generations.
The Dhofar Mountains
The Emerald Jewel of Arabia
We are based in Oman’s Dhofar region - the Emerald Jewel of Arabia. Its verdant cloud forests and remote wadi systems, sustain a wealth of endemic species and unparalleled biodiversity. For over 20 years, we have worked here, developing an intimate understanding of Dhofar’s unique landscapes, ecosystems, and wildlife.
Home to a highly endemic flora and fauna, and a diverse guild of large mammals, Dhofar stands as the most biodiverse region in the Arabian Peninsula. Its ecological richness makes conservation and protection not just essential, but a flagship for wildlife research and environmental stewardship in Arabia.
How it all began
Years in the making
The story begins with Hadi, who has dedicated his life to conserving the critically endangered Arabian Leopard in its native Arabian range. His passion for wildlife led him to study Wildlife Conservation at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE), University of Kent. There, he met Lawrence—a fellow student equally committed to making a meaningful difference in the natural world.
Seeing promise in Lawrence, Hadi supported his early steps into field leadership by involving him in research expeditions to Dhofar. Their collaboration deepened over the years, as they continued to work together on conservation projects across Arabia. Several years later, both returned to DICE to pursue their PhDs, further strengthening their scientific foundation and shared vision.
Now, older, wiser and more determined than ever, with greater experience and a clearer sense of purpose, Hadi and Lawrence have co-founded a company rooted in that original spark: a passion for wildlife, a belief in the power of evidence, and a mission to protect nature in the Arabian Peninsula through lasting, science-led impact.
